Has Lake Powell
peaked yet? |
These yoga enthusiasts are really pulling for the water level at Lake Powell to rise even more. They still may have a chance, but some experts are now saying that the lake peaked on July 30th at an elevation of 3660.9'.
So who won the houseboat trip for 2012?
Well, the water level "might" still go up, OR it "might" still go down. Check the September issue of Waterways to find out if the current record sticks or not.

Check out these three great California marinas. They don't have houseboats, but they do have a full range of fun day boats to give you a great launch point for a sweet day on the water.
Oak Bottom Marina
Located on the shores of Whiskeytown Lake and only ten miles from Redding. There are ski boats, fishing boats, deck cruisers, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats and some sweet pine scented scenery waiting for you.
Oak Bottom also offers RV sites and waterfront tent sites.
(You'll have to ask about the lake's name yourself and no, there are no free samples.)
Bidwell Canyon Marina
The marina is located in the Lake Oroville State Recreation Area on the southern banks of Lake Oroville. Launch a full day of fun in the pines on a deck cruiser, ski boat, patio pontoon, or bring your own. The water is way up, the summer crush is over, and it's time to play.
Moccasin Point Marina
