Which Color Would You Pick?
Kayaks seemed to be "all the rage" last summer so... the "fleet" has been expanded, and with it, your color choices!
Single or double, that's the easy part, but which color would you look best in?
Red seems to be the most popular, but blue usually comes in a close second. Purple, is always a sell out... (Can you tell why?)

What's Up With The Patio Pontoons?
Well, the answer is quite a lot, actually!
Patio Pontoons are the perfect platform for a day on the lake. Start with a super fun wet waterslide that can get you quickly and safely into the water from the top deck!
Spread out with room for the whole gang, in the shade on the main deck or... out in the sun on the top deck. (Keep an eye on all of the lake the action from up there too!)
No need for a pit stop with this boat either. There's a full bathroom with toilet, sink, and even a shower. (Hot water too!)
Grill up some burgers or whatever suits your fancy on the grill and keep everyone's hunger at bay.
Available at all houseboat marinas, this is one sweet craft for a day on the lake!

Low Water? Sure. But Still Plenty For Fun!
Sure there might be a little more shoreline at some of the California lakes this year, but there's still plenty of water to play on!
It's still deep enough that you won't find your sunglasses if you drop 'em in the water. Especially if you do it while you're out on a PWC. (Hint: That's why you should always take along a pair of cheap sunglasses.)
There is still more than enough water to float a houseboat, a speed boat, a kayak, and yes your younger crew with life jackets on too.
Great fun, good times, and swell smiles, on the water, that's what it's really all about!
Happy houseboating this summer!

Eggo's for Lunch?
|
Eggo's or what some call "toaster waffles" are great to have along on any houseboat vacation.
Having a hot waffle for breakfast at whatever time you or your crew get up in the morning is a great thing. Being able to just pop a couple in the toaster, smear some real butter on 'em, and then drizzle the maple syrup all over...
Delish!
They can also make a fun lunch treat as well. Here's what to do:
Toast 'em first. (Keeps the crunch)
Add thin sliced ham or turkey.
Put cheese on top.
Put 'em in the oven (broil) until the cheese is melted.
It's that simple! Delish' for Breakfast, fun for lunch, and easy to make! Eggos... the perfect houseboat food!

Portside Musing |
"My Grandpappy used to make me french toast all the time when I was a kid, even though I hated it. In french toast's defense, years later I discovered that he was actually making toasted rye bread with frog legs on top." |
