The Benefits Of Watching On A Houseboat:
There are definitely some great rewards for spending the weekend, any weekend, on a houseboat. But the fun can be especially competitive when there is a big game on! (Like the one coming up this Sunday.)
There are TVs and DVD players on Forever houseboats so you could bring past games along for a second look or... many of the models sport satellite TV systems if you and your crew want to watch it live too!
The real question then is, what are the benefits of "time out" on the water and how can you maximize your own yardage during the experience?
Plenty of Snacks:
Houseboats are usually full of hungry people and lots of munchies. Nothing goes better with a big game than snacks, lots of 'em! (They say that football games often rival Thanksgiving for food consumption too...)
Satellite Clarity Right on the Wall: Stand in the kitchen, relax on the couch, or sit at the table, the view is always great.
Front Row Ease:
You can't get much closer to the action than this. Your drinks are just steps away in the fully stocked fridge (no $9 beverages here) and you're also close to the restrooms (no lines there either). Stadium seating? No way! The seats here are wide and comfortable too (no elbows from obnoxious neighbors to deal with), and... you have the best view in the house from every window.
No Unwanted Guests Popping In:
They call them "Game Day Party Hoppers." They tend to visit one party for the first half, then move to a second for halftime, and then migrate to their third "target" for the final part of the game (If it's going well...). You can avoid their fickle visits by boating out on the water to an undisclosed location.
